Hey girls and boys! Do you remember the story about Drippy the Raindrop that I told you today and we acted in the school theatre?
You can find the story by clicking in the following image and video:
I have made a BIG cloud with my name and little raindrops like Drippy which contain different words of the story. Now, it's your turn!!!! In groups, you have to choose 5 important words in the story. For example, one important word could be... Let me think... RAINDROP!
When you decide your 5 important words, we are going to write them down into the raindrops that are falling down from the cloud, so we could add them to the big mural we are making about the WATER CYCLE in the corridor.
THIS IS MY EXAMPLE:
IMPORTANT: Before you write down the words in the raindrops, you have to make a comment in this post with your 5 words.

As it was explained in the former task, children are going to be involved in a trimestral project with topics related to Climate change. According to that, different issues are going to be approached such as the seasons, the greenhouse effect, the global warming, the water cycle, etc. This concrete activity, which is going to be worked at the classroom simultaneously, allows students to go deeply in the story they have been told before (in this case, Drippy the Raindrop, which explains the Water Cycle) and they have briefly acted in the theatre. They have already grasped the overall meaning of the story, so it seems to me interesting to see how they extract specific information; in other words, which words they find the most important ones.
On the other hand, through this task they cannot only show their production on the comments, but also reproduce it in real life by creating a big group mural in which all contributions count. Digital and artistic competence go together so it is easier to assess students as they have different opportunities to show, not only content mastery, but also how they relate with others in terms of group cooperation. Observation will be key in all the process; that is why it is very important to carry out this activity at the classroom/computer room. However, children can also be motivated to explain what they have learnt at home and, of course, parents will be open to access the Blog and see their kids' work. Parents can support themselves by means of the audiovisual links provided.
